  • The Sequoia Circle Cohort for Women Pastors is a program designed for women in pastoral roles, whether senior, staff, or co-pastors, to address various relevant topics to enhance pastoral leadership development. Through monthly virtual meetings and quarterly in-person gatherings, this initiative provides a supportive and engaging space for women in ministry to learn, grow, and thrive.

  • The inaugural program is open to African Methodist Episcopal women pastors, especially those navigating the unique challenges of ministry leadership and personal life. If you are passionate about developing your leadership skills and connecting with a network of supportive women leaders, this initiative is for you.

  • The monthly virtual meetings will last approximately 60–90 minutes and include:

    • Tools and strategies for leadership development, financial empowerment, work-life balance, self-care, and much more.

    • Practical discussions tailored to the needs of women pastors.

    • Opportunities for networking and sharing experiences with other participants.

  • The quarterly in-person gatherings are designed as immersive experiences to deepen engagement and foster renewal. These sessions will include:

    • Workshops and collaborative activities focused on specific ministry challenges.

    • Networking opportunities to connect with like-minded women pastors.

    • Time for spiritual reflection, wellness practices, and personal renewal.

  • Participants are asked to commit to:

    • One virtual meeting per month (90 minutes).

    • One in-person gathering every quarter (half- or full-day sessions).

    The program is structured to fit into your busy schedule while providing significant value.

  • Topics may include, but are not limited to:

    • Navigating bi-vocational ministry.

    • Managing financial constraints and accessing resources.

    • Achieving work-life balance.

    • Building supportive communities and professional networks.

    • Cultivating emotional resilience and mental health in ministry.

    This does not include meals, travel, or lodging for in-person gatherings.

    Limited scholarships are available on a case by case basis.
